MARCH 12, 2007 MEDIUM RARE PROGRAM NOTE FOR MARCH 14 ON CHANNEL 29 SAN FRANCISCO, CA. – This week on Channel 29, San Francisco, tune in to Medium Rare’s atest locally produced half-hour program highlighting achievements of women and people of color in television and film. This Wednesday’s show, March 14 at 8:30pm, will feature interviews with Tyler Perry, whose credits for his new film “Daddy’s Little Girls” include director, writer, and producer; and Samuel L. Jackson, highly respected performer in film, television and theatre, who discusses his latest role in the film “Black Snake Moan.” Medium Rare also interviews two directors from the recently concluded 9th Annual San Francisco Independent Film Festival. February 13, 2007 MEDIUM RARE MOVES TO PRIME-TIME ON CHANNEL 29 VALENTINES DAY SPECIAL TO START NEW SEASON SAN FRANCISCO, CA. – Medium Rare, a locally produced movie review program highlighting achievements of women and people of color in television and film, moves to a new time slot on Channel 29 beginning this February. The half-hour show shifts from Saturdays to the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 8:30 p.m. Channel 29 is San Francisco’s 24 hour a day public cable access station on both Comcast and RCN cable systems. The first Wednesday evening show will premier on Valentines Day, February 14th. In recognition of Valentines’ Day, Medium Rare will have a romantic theme line-up for the evening that will include reviews of: Secretary, Jason’s Lyric, Kissing Jessica Stein, Jump Tomorrow, and Me, You, Them. WATCH GOLDEN GLOBE WINNERS ON MEDIUM RARE INTERVIEWS WITH JENNIFER HUDSON AND FOREST WHITAKER SAN FRANCISCO, CA. – The 64th Golden Globe Awards presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association saw winners come from a wide variety of films and TV shows this year. Of those receiving awards, Medium Rare had the opportunity to interview two Golden Globe Award winners earlier this year. Forest Whitaker received a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Drama in “The Last King of Scotland.” Medium Rare's Val Sinckler had the pleasure of chatting with Mr. Whitaker as he touched on understanding and capturing the emotions of his character. BERLIN & BEYOND FILM FESTIVAL WRAPS UP WITH MEDIUM RARE ON LOCATION SAN FRANCISCO, CA. – The 12th Annual Berlin & Beyond Film Festival in San Francisco was a huge success with over two dozen films showing through the week-long event which ran from January 11 to the 17th. Held in the magnificent Castro Theater, Medium Rare was on hand to review two highlights of this year’s festival, “Summer in Berlin” and “Valerie”. Summer in Berlin, recipient of awards at the Bavarian Film Awards, the Chicago International Film Festival and the San Sebastian International Film Festival, was selected to open the San Francisco festival playing before a packed house at the Castro. Medium Rare’s Kevin Robinson and Jimmy Rider reviewed this film directed by Andreas Dresen.
